目的と期待される成果 | The platform for mathematical scientists, engineers and industry practitioners is not easy to facilitate due to different work nature targets and objectives. This workshop that will be run in collaboration or with cooperation of industries in Malaysia is expected to reduce the burden of scientific and corporate communications in solving industrial problem through mathematical innovation. Among the industrial problems solved in the previous workshop are Green Propulsion Regenerative Electromagnetic Suspension System, River Pollution, Optimisation of Water and Energy Networks, Inventory, Coronary Bifurcation, and Rice Blast and Brown Planthopper Outbreak, and Subsea Cable Laying. The program objectives are to: i) Provide exposure to academics especially Mathematical Sciences and Engineering community to industrial problems that potential to be solved using mathematical or statistical techniques and advancement. ii)Facilitate Mathematical Sciences experts in finding solutions to industrial problems. iii) Promote the expertise of Mathematical Sciences experts in solving real problems in the industry. iv) Enhance the collaboration between industries in Malaysia and Institutions of Higher Education. v) Enhance the collaboration between overseas research centers or universities and Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia. vi) Provide a platform for the process of transferring knowledge and technology to the community in a more effective way. The main goal of this workshop is not a return in terms of financial gain but rather a long-term return which is cooperation within the quadruple helix framework, industrial research grants, development of systems or software for commercialization, documentation of collaboration via Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and also consultation. It is expected with the new model of this workshop and stronger collaboration with industries will provide more models/algorithms that have high potential of commercialization. |
